This week we’ll be previewing the new wave of Star Wars Attacktix Tournament Figures.

Today’s review comes to you live from under the oak tree on Devil’s Lake, Michigan. (That’s code for I’m on vacation this week.) But even that doesn’t keep me from bringing you the latest and greatest news. We’ll start of the week with one of the icons of the Star Wars Universe…the ubiquitous Stormtrooper…:

Stormtrooper, Silver

Stormtrooper

  • Attack: Small Missile
  • Defense: Small Base
  • Points: 10
  • Attacktix Class: Trooper
  • Transformers Class: Empire
  • Base Speed: 6
  • Special Power: Attackback – Empire
  • Number: (T/06)

This begins the second wave of Tournament Prize figures. The OT counterpart to the first waves Clone Trooper…this time around we have the Stormtrooper swelling the Empire’s ranks. A modest speed improvement makes this figure stand out from the normal white and blacks…that and the great silver paint job of course. Though not game breaking, you’ll be sure to want to add this souped up trooper to your squad if you manage to track him down this summer. You’ll get your first chance next week at the San Diego Comic Con.

Make sure to check the Joe Attacktix site tomorrow for information on the rest of the previews, and information on how you can snag one of these tournament figures just for showing up. – B

So does this mean that the S1 Tournament Silvers are basically going to be IMPOSSIBLE to find, now? Will S4 Silvers be equally difficult to acquire (i.e. only available at SDCC and/C4)? Since the S1 Silvers were never made available to hobby shops, I’m rapidly loosing hope of ever acquiring the remaining two that I need. I HATE to collect something and have little chance of completing a master set. Difficult is one thing… nearly impossible is frustrating.
