Until the figures are in the stores, Joe Attacktix and Web of Webhead will be previewing the new Star Wars Attacktix Series 4 and Transformers Attacktix Series 1.

We’re in the home stretch of the previews…only three more to go!  Today’s preview is fresh from the Imperial Academy…:

Imperial Officer

Imperial Officer

  • Attack: Small Missile
  • Defense: Medium Base
  • Points: 20
  • Attacktix Class: Captain
  • Star Wars Class: Empire
  • Base Speed: 6
  • Special Power: Battlecry
  • Number: (SW/08)4)

20 point shooters are hard to pin down…are they worth the extra points, or are you better off with a simple 10 pointer?  In this case, you get a solid base size increase and a very nice special that works with anyone and everyone (assuming you have the three figures in play to take advantage of it).  Captains also seem to be making a resurgence, after being rather rare initially, so maybe that will come to something over time, who is to say.

That’s it for today.  Make sure to check the Joe Attacktix site for the Transformers review.  Check back here tomorrow as we knock down one of the two remaning bounty hunter figs, IG-88. – B

I like this guy. At the very least, I appreciate the olive drab repaint because he’ll look cool next to the gray & black officers. He’s nothing special.. but that’s ok too. With all the power creep (seemingly) going on, its cool that at least a few figures are still grounded. 🙂

This being said, I kinda hope that this is the last generic imperial officer we see. Any named officer is fine (Tarkin, Veers, Motti, Piett, etc) & welcome as a future attacktix addition.. but I think there’s been enough generic officers to last a while now.

Recondo, I agree with you on this being the last generic officer… that is untill we get a 10 pt. version of this guy…

But the generic Imperial we really need is…

Those navy troopers are cool-arse and we need Imperial bike helmet dudes to fight our Series 3 Rebel bike helmet dudes 😉
