Star Wars Attacktix Series 4 Previews: Ewoks June 14, 2006

Until the figures are in the stores, Joe Attacktix and Web of Webhead will be previewing the new Star Wars Attacktix Series 4 and Transformers Attacktix Series 1.
Today’s previews come to us from the Chirpa Tribe on the forest moon of Endor…:
Logray

Logray is the shaman or medicine man of the Chirpa Tribe, as old as the trees some say. In Attacktix form he weilds his staff with pinpoint precision, not as effective against groups of figs, but great at delivering targeted blows to the weak spots of opposing figures. Also notice his powerful special, a double Attackback for Ewoks…netting you essentially a free turn if the situation is right.

Chief Chirpa led his Ewok Tribe alongside the Rebels against the Empire on his native moon of Endor. Chirpa has the best prop yet, a defeated Stormtrooper helmet forms part of his base. Chirpa also has a unique attack, the stone throw. This arching attack, with some practice, can be thrown from behind friendly lines to take out enemies hiding in the back rows. The Chief rounds out the Ewoks in Series 4, note that all Ewoks have Ewok only specials, and the Chief leads the way with a powerful, high probability Recruit power.

I’m a bit disapointed not to see some generic Ewoks, but that disapointment is extremely over-shadowed by that new attack… STONE THROW!! That looks great.
Each set brings some new attack, and although smaller, this set is no different…
Stone throwing, flying Boba and Leia’s crazy weapon!!! Bring on Series 4!!

Let’s hope we see a generic Ewok troop builder in the future. Until then, I have some black and brown paint, so I can make my own!

I agree that a generic Ewok is REALLY in order.. considering their numbers in ROTJ.. but in the mean time I think Wicket will serve that role with only a 10 point cost and a nice striker ability. š
And I too am excited about the new stone throwe attack.. it sounds like it’ll be a fun new skill to master.. sweet!
Nice…although i only want them to kill them. But nice for a ewok only team…i think ewoks vs. jawas/tuskens would be fun!
