Just picked this up today, through the end of the month, you can vote in the 2005 Scrye Player’s Choice Awards online at http://surveys.krause.com/?id=297. The survey is a little basic in it’s design, but it’s easy to get through with only a handful of questions. This time around they are asking about favorite 2005 releases, as well as all-time favorites in categories like CCG’s, CMG’s, board games, and role-playing games. Make your voice heard today!

I’m a big fan of Game Theory…in an article I wrote on HeroClix I referenced the reality game show “Survivor”, and now another TV game show has caught my fancy…Family Feud? In many ways, the show as a whole is sort of lame, especially reruns of the older version, but the core game mechanic is solid…and interesting. (more…)
Building the Squad: Luke and Han as Stormtroopers… March 17, 2006

Attacktix Series 3 brought us two of my favorite characters in the game, Luke and Hand disguised as Stormtroopers. These characters taken together are unique in the game, the only figures with effects, special powers, AND normal attacks. On top of that, their effects and specials do an extraordinary job of conveying the flavor of the characters…they are out to rescue the Princess, so as long as she is in play, they attack for free. Plus, once you crack their armor, they have a chance as coming back as their normal versions. Lets take a look at building a squad around these two characters… (more…)
Good News…Bad News… March 12, 2006

So the good news is that after some dedicated job hunting, I’ve finally found a new position as an IT Specialist at a well respected healthcare organization in town. The bad news…I haven’t had much time to write (or be online much at all). On top of that, WordPress servers were down a couple of times when I did try to get on, so I’ve really been lax in my writing. I’m going to try and pump out a couple of spots tonight, and get back on track this week. - Brett
